Purpose:

Our Leadership “Boost” Camp is designed to better position participants for increasing levels of management and leadership.

  
Who
Should Attend:

Our typical participant is in a management or director role (usually with people reporting to him/her) and is considered as having advancement potential.

Boost Camp Participants Will:

  • Assess their influence, leadership style, and key strengths and growth opportunities.

  • Obtain 360-feedback – input from colleagues, boss, subordinates, and others – to gauge how their practices are perceived.

  • Engage in peer learning and support with other leaders.

  • Receive real-time coaching, during and after the training, to develop an action plan that involves business, attitude and behavior goals.

  • Gain knowledge regarding their impact on others, and how they can enhance effective behaviors and manage the less effective styles.

  • Build self-awareness and confidence, which can translate into increased leadership responsibilities and visibility.

Bios

Steve Horner is the Principal of Horner & Associates, LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in organizational effectiveness solutions for small and medium sized organizations. Prior to establishing his consulting practice he was Vice President of Training and Development for a Fortune 1000 financial services organization. In that role he was responsible for the development of the workforce through the implementation of various organizational effectiveness initiatives. Steve has over 25 years experience in all aspects of organizational effectiveness specializing in executive coaching, team building, conflict resolution, succession planning, mentoring, employee involvement, employee relations, leadership development, facilitation, training, and performance management. He is currently an adjunct faculty member for the Montgomery County Community College and the Insurance Institute of America. His memberships include the Philadelphia Human Resource Planning Society (PHRPS), American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators (SITE). He is also on the board of the Montgomery County Community College Foundation. Steve also serves on the Human Resources committee of the North Penn Chamber of Commerce.

He earned an Associate degree in Social Sciences from Montgomery County Community College, a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Temple University and two graduate degrees in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. He has also earned the professional designations Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Management (AIM), and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

 

Megan McCusker Moore, Psy.D. is a Principal with Delta Consultants. Dr. Moore has worked extensively with organizational leaders to maximize their personal and team effectiveness through individual coaching and assessment, workforce development initiatives, and change management programs. With energy for helping clients unleash their strengths, she leverages behavioral methods to help leaders optimize their impact and influence.

Prior to joining Delta Consultants, Dr. Moore worked for a leading technology consulting firm, specializing in helping clients align their people, processes, and strategy with their vision of success. She played a key role in developing a proprietary methodology and training program designed to reduce the risk of project failure by including tools and techniques based on the principles of applied psychology. Dr. Moore’s work has been published in the Journal of Information Technology Management (JITM). Dr. Moore holds a Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Immaculata University, an M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from California State University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Widener University. She has earlier experience consulting to professional staff who work with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders.
